Q: I'm renovating a galley-styled kitchen in a relatively small (850 sq. ft.) condo with an open floor plan - the kitchen, living and dining spaces are all in the same room. I am considering installing refrigerator drawers in the lower cabinets, with integrated wood panels that will match the cabinetry, rather than a traditional refrigerator (I realize panels are available for these as well). I personally prefer this look for my space... but I'm worried about possible physical discomfort from having to bend over to get food, and also having sufficient food storage. Thoughts?
